This is important on nights at sea when the shows are more widely attended and prime seats fill up fast. When staying overnight at a port, shows and restaurants will be less crowded as many passengers will choose to eat and recreate off the ship. Each leg of the trips between the islands entails time spent waiting to board and disembark, and then you will have to unpack and pack at each hotel. The fitness center is by far the largest we’ve ever seen on a cruise ship. It was also one of the most sparsely populated areas of the ship.
Since it is a long trip, we thought it might be good to have a little extra time to get used to the time difference before the cruise. Here you'll find the most interesting museums and historic sites in Hawaii, including Pearl Harbor, Shangri La Museum of Islamic Art, Culture & Design, and Iolani Palace. It's one of my favourite stopover destinations, though I rarely have time to go beyond the familiar comforts of Honolulu. I'm curious to discover if another island could hold more appeal than Oahu.
