Alexa and Google Home each support up to six user accounts, though Google handles its accounts much better than Alexa. For Google, you can add anyone to your home for free as long as they have a Google account. This includes supervised accounts that you create for children using Google Family Link. Searching the internet feels a bit more accurate with Google Assistant, but unless you are constantly asking questions, you may not notice a lot of difference. You cannot use Alexa with Google Home, but you can use both devices at once on different tasks. This is because Google does not have access to your smartphone’s location, so it would be unable to track you down. However, Alexa can switch on the lights and get the HVAC system ready before your arrival by using a feature called “Location Triggers”. Google Home is compatible with over 5,000 smart home devices, making it an essential component of any smart home.
